In sua movenza è fermo is the reconstruction of a scenic device used in the past to simulate the movement and intensity of the sun. A structure made up of a lamp fixed to the edge of a periscopic arm reproduces the rise and setting of the sun through a mechanical action that varies the intensity and position of the light.
The device is therefore reproduced in the double meaning of both tool and autonomous formal object. It exalts the deceptive character of the machine from a merely theatrical level to a more sophisticated one of design.

In sua movenza è fermo è la ricostruzione di un dispositivo scenico utilizzato in passato per simulare l’andamento e l’intensità del sole. Una struttura composta da una lampada fissata all’estremità di un braccio periscopico, riproduce il sorgere e il calar del sole attraverso l’azione di un macchinatore che ne varia l’intensità luminosa e la posizione.
In sua movenza è fermo si presenta dunque come un oggetto esteticamente autonomo dal suo contesto d'origine. Esso sublima il carattere illusorio della macchina da un piano prettamente teatrale a quello più sofisticato del design.
